ah, welcome back. i'm not sure that anyone is really reading this but me and kim, but eventually we will print it into a photo book and call it a journal and force our children and grand children into patiently reminiscing with us before meals during holiday visits.
we are at a pretty awkward time in life... a pubescent stage of adulthood if you will. we are both in school, but we're married. we both have jobs, but we have no money. and when people ask us what we do for fun, the only thing we can tell them is that we like to run 5-k's in the summer. and i still get nervous before i ask kim to dance.
we took a walk last sunday before night-church (1:00 pm) on our favorite little walking/running trail in draper; the porter rockwell trail. that is what you see below, or you will if you scroll far enough, but not too far. the purpose for the photos is two-fold, one so that we remember our favorite little trail, and two i am earning brownie points with kim by doing this while she is finishing up finals.
enough talk, onto the pictures:
this is the beginning of the trail... (above)
this is our favorite part of the trail.
and this is the end of the trail... or at least where we end up almost every time we run the trail.

our first blog ever!
hello bloggers,
we feel honored to join the elite group of married people with cameras and time... to post blogs.
to begin, we want to tell you that we think this blogging stuff is just good old fashioned fun. it was hard to find our background and banner and we still haven't found a font that we like, but that will come with time.
i guess we should introduce ourselves as of today, april 17, 2010... one month after we got married... kim tells me that it's actually one month and a day. alright, buckle up, here we go:
kim- got accepted into the primary children's medical center nursing residency program, in the nicu and will start work on june 7. she'll graduate from utah valley university in two weeks and will take the nclex before beginning her residency program.
drew- i work at directpointe inc. as the human resources manager. i started my masters in human resources at utah state (in an slc extension) in january... i have classes on friday night and saturday morning... do i know how to party or what? i get that from my mom.
since being married we've gained a little weight... mostly in me. we live in a 450 sq. ft. loft in draper above our landlord's garage. our second week in the family ward we were put in as nursery leaders. i immediately put that on my resume as a leadership opportunity, working with difficult people, in unbearable circumstances.
our hobbies are netflix. before that they were going to hollywood video and renting lost. we hope to acquire another hobby now that it's warmer and start running again; 5-k's are what we look forward to in the summer.
we don't have any kids of our own yet, thanks to our calling, and we don't have a puppy yet, thanks to kim. so, the only pictures we can post will be of us and you, the viewer, if ever we should hang out.
today's blog was brought to you by the letter "d" as in drew. but that isn't any excuse to stop reading... but what do you want to bet that mom is throwing a fit that i've typed in all lower-case?! :)
